Martin Park's Courage Trail offers a starting point for woodland discovery
The nature park pairs a designated accessible trail with seasonal opening hours and rules that protect its woodland habitat.

A woodland outing can begin with the route that best fits the people taking it. Martin Park Nature Center lists the ADA-accessible INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Courage Trail among its amenities, alongside a wider network of woodland trails, a nature-themed playground and a visitor center.
Choose the trail with current conditions and individual needs in mind. An accessible route does not mean every path across the park has the same surface or grade. Staff can help explain the options before a visit, particularly after weather that may affect paths or creek conditions.

At 5000 West Memorial Road, regular April–October grounds hours are Wednesday–Sunday, 7 a.m.–8 p.m.; the visitor center opens 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. November–March hours shorten to 7 a.m.–5 p.m. for grounds and 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. for the center. Regular Monday–Tuesday closures and holiday arrangements need checking separately.
Stay on designated trails, leave plants in place and observe wildlife without approaching or feeding it. Bicycles and pets are prohibited; ADA service animals are welcome. The creek is for observation rather than wading. A visit that gives one small part of the woodland careful attention can be rewarding without covering every trail.
