Will Rogers Gardens pairs an autumn walk with greenhouse architecture
The Ed Lycan Conservatory adds an indoor chapter to a garden outing, with weekday access separate from the outdoor grounds.

A greenhouse invites attention to two kinds of structure at once: the framework overhead and the leaves growing beneath it. At Will Rogers Gardens, the Ed Lycan Conservatory provides an indoor counterpoint to the outdoor gardens and arboretum, making the relationship between built shelter and living plants part of the visit.
The gardens are at 3400 Northwest Thirty-sixth Street. During October–March, the outdoor gardens and arboretum currently open daily from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Their longer April–September evening hours have ended for the season, so an autumn outing needs a different arrival plan.

The conservatory and Garden Exhibition Center normally open weekdays, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Indoor facilities close on city holidays, and special arrangements should be checked with staff. A weekend walk through the grounds does not mean the conservatory will be open. The city also offers gardening and horticulture classes through its current program calendar.
Look for contrasts in leaf shape, texture and growing habit rather than treating every plant as a naming test. Leave displays undisturbed, follow posted access and keep outdoor pets leashed. If an indoor visit or a particular class is the main purpose, confirm it before traveling. A garden's changing seasonal rhythm includes the hours available to enjoy it.
